Some things just go together. Bourbon and Cigars for example, and if you're lucky enough to pair them up with a lovely summer's evening, it's just that much better.
On Sunday, June 26, Tony Santana will be here rolling cigars on site. Cigars, like wine, are great when aged in a humidor for years. But they are also delicious when freshly rolled by the hands of an expert. Tony copyrighted the term Tobacco Mixologist. It's a perfect description of what he does. By blending and mixing different types of tobacco fill, with various binder and wrapper tobacco, he comes up with unique and delicious creations.
He will be rolling cigars here from 4-7 PM. Everyone who comes, gets a cigar of course. Barring torrential downpour we'll be able to smoke them in the sidewalk cafe. But what's really special is the opportunity to watch these cigars being rolled and to learn from Tony, just what goes into the process, from tobacco selection and aging to structure and size.
You will also get to sample a selection of Bourbons from Old Forrester. Here's a classic American house that consistently produces excellent product and represents one of the few great values left in American whisky.
The Bourbon tasting and 1st cigar is complimentary for anyone dining with us in either Stage Left or Catherine Lombardi, that includes the Burger. If you like cigars and never enjoyed one on a summer evening in our sidewalk cafe, you're missing the best spot in Central Jersey. You can change that on Sunday, June 26th.
